The Classic Staunton stands at 100mm in king height, carved from hornbeam wood with a naturally rustic finish. Hand-weighted throughout and fitted with felt pads, these 32 pieces deliver the tactile precision expected of tournament-standard play without compromise.

Built for club play, school programs, and serious practice, the Classic Staunton balances affordability with craftsmanship. The weight distribution and felt-lined base ensure reliable piece placement on any standard board, making this set the workhorse choice for players who value substance over ornament.
