The School Chess Set is a robust, compact artisan set designed for educational settings and young players. Hornbeam and beech pieces with a 60 mm king on a 27 mm field – small, sturdy, and easy for younger hands to handle.
Construction is prioritised for durability and ease of use: pieces are weighted for stability, felted to protect board surfaces, and finished to withstand the handling typical of a school environment. The compact field size makes this set easy to use at a desk or small table. This is a quality step up from plastic sets, at a level appropriate for classroom use.
An excellent set for schools, chess clubs, and families introducing younger players to the game.
