Pyrography Tournament Chess Set

The Pyrography Tournament Chess Set features hand-carved hornbeam chessmen paired with a board decorated using pyrography – the traditional craft of burning imagery into wood. Each board carries hand-burnt decoration that makes it entirely unique. King height 115 mm, 50 mm field.

Pyrography adds a layer of artisanal character that no printing or staining process can replicate: the depth of burnt lines, the variation in tone, and the warmth of the resulting surface are distinctive and irreproducible. The hornbeam pieces are cleanly carved to complement the board's character without competing with it.
