The Orawa Chess Set combines linden basswood pieces with a hardwood inlaid board, delivering substantial presence and visual depth for serious home play. At 110mm, the king commands the board with clarity, while hand-carved detail remains crisp across all pieces. The inlaid board surface–assembled from contrasting hardwood fields–creates tactile richness that transcends standard stained finishes.
Built for players who value craftsmanship and comfortable, unhurried games. The 50mm squares accommodate deliberate piece placement and reduce the fatigue of rapid multi-hour sessions. Regional character infuses this set with identity beyond tournament utility: it becomes furniture that anchors a player's study.
Specifications: King height 110mm • Board: 50mm field inlaid hardwood • Pieces: linden basswood, hand-carved • No storage box included
