The Magnetic School Chess Set combines hornbeam Staunton pieces with a compact 28×28cm board fitted with magnetic holds. Strong magnets secure each figure in place, preventing accidental displacement during play or transport. The traditional wooden board features a coloured insert–green or red, randomly assigned–that anchors pieces reliably across flat or angled surfaces.
Built for classrooms, travel, and casual play, this set delivers tournament-standard piece proportions in a portable format. The king stands at 50mm, establishing clear piece hierarchy without bulk. Hornbeam construction offers durability that withstands repeated handling across seasons of school competitions and club play.
Specifications: King height 50mm • Board: 28×28cm • Material: Hornbeam pieces, wooden board with magnetic insert • Insert colour: Green or red (random assignment)
