The Jupiter Chess Set is a tournament-grade wooden artisan set with a distinguishing feature: each piece is individually weighted with metal inserts, giving the set a satisfying heft that enhances the playing experience. Hornbeam and sycamore maple pieces, king 78 mm, board with 40 mm fields.
Metal weighting raises the quality of a set noticeably – pieces settle firmly on the board, feel authoritative in the hand, and resist accidental displacement. The board is a matching beech and birch inlaid surface with a clean, professional finish. Bases are felted for quiet, scratch-free play.
Available in natural and darkened combinations. An excellent upgrade for players who want a proper weighted wooden set without entering the luxury tier.
