The Indian Carved Chess Set showcases hand-carved sweet cherry, a timber selected for its fine grain, warm colour, and capacity to hold delicate detail. At 90mm king height, this mid-size set displays intricate Indian-inspired motifs across all pieces–from the ornamental bases to the crowned summits. Sweet cherry deepens in tone with light exposure, ensuring the set develops character with age and use.
This is a carver's set, not a speed player's. The decorative precision demands slower, more considered games–ideal for players who value aesthetic engagement alongside tactical play. Each piece sits substantial in the hand yet remains nimble enough for standard tournament boards. The set comprises pieces only; no board is included.
Specifications: King height 90mm • Material: Sweet cherry, hand-carved
