The French Staunton represents refined simplicity in classical chess design. Hand-weighted pieces stand in natural or ebonised wood, each finished with felt bases for silent, controlled movement across the board. This 34-piece set includes standard pieces plus additional queens, giving competitive players immediate replacements during extended play.

French Staunton pieces suit tournament preparation and serious club play. The proportions balance aesthetic restraint with functional clarity, allowing rapid piece recognition under time pressure. Hand-crafted construction ensures consistent weight distribution across the set.
