The Chassador Chess Set is a striking artisan set that combines hand-carved hornbeam and sycamore maple chessmen with a board decorated using the traditional pyrography technique – each square burnt and etched by hand to create a unique, warm-toned surface. The king stands 110 mm tall on a 50 mm field.
Chassador pieces have a bold, angular character distinct from Staunton convention, with a sculptural quality that makes this set as compelling to look at as to play with. No two boards are identical – the burning process ensures each carries its own character.
Available in different finish combinations. A distinctive piece for collectors and players with an appreciation for traditional craft techniques.
