Capablanca stupol chess with additional Archbishop and Chancellor figures.
Capablanca chess (or Capablanca chess) is a chess variant invented in the 1920s by the world chess champion José Raúl Capablanca. It contains two new figures and is played on a board of 10×8 or 10x10 squares (the variant being offered).
Capablanca believed that in a few decades all games between grandmasters would end in draws, which was the main motivation for creating a more complex version of the game. To make the game more interesting, Capablanca changed the design of the board and introduced two new figures into the game:
- The Archbishop moves like a chaser and a jumper.
- The Chancellor moves like a rook and a jumper.
The new pieces allow the new creation of new strategies and possibilities that change the game of chess by 180 degrees.
